What Is Included in Internal Window Spray Painting?
Our standard scope covers frame surfaces visible from inside when the window is closed. Intermediate sections and external surfaces are excluded. The quotation identifies the sets, surfaces, preparation, colour and protection included. Please check this scope before confirming.
Suitable defects include faded coating, surface scratches, discolouration and small screw holes that can be prepared and filled. Hinges, rollers, gaskets, sealants and leakage repairs are assessed and quoted separately. Painting does not strengthen a damaged frame.
Repaint, Repair or Replace?
- Consider repainting when the frames are sound and the main concern is colour, scratches or worn coating.
- Arrange repair assessment for loose hardware, damaged seals, leaks or movement before planning the finish.
- Consider replacement assessment for distorted or unsafe frames, extensive damage, or repairs that are not economical.
On-site spray painting is different from factory powder coating. Site conditions, existing coating, edges and access affect the finish. Exact matching to aged surfaces cannot be assumed. Discuss the colour and finish before work begins.
Best Timing and Protection Requirements
The preferred time is during renovation, after dusty hacking and wet work and before final wall painting, flooring and carpentry are completed. Coordinate the sequence with your renovation contractor.
Standard quotations assume a unit under renovation. Occupied homes and completed interiors require separate protection assessment, with additional protection charges where needed. Tell us about furniture, flooring, curtains, window films, grilles and restricted access. Some items may need removal or relocation before work.
Wall and ceiling touch-ups or repainting are excluded unless expressly included in the quotation. Protection reduces overspray risk but does not remove every site constraint. The agreed scope should identify protection, access and any follow-up cleaning or making-good arrangements.

Window Spray Painting FAQs
Can powder-coated aluminium be repainted?
Yes, where the existing surface is suitable. Cleaning, preparation and a compatible coating system are needed. Loose or incompatible previous paint may require more removal and preparation.
Can I change bronze or beige frames to white, black or grey?
Colour changes can be assessed for the agreed internal surfaces. Provide your preferred colour code where available. Confirm any applicable building-management requirements before choosing a colour; repainting does not authorise a change to an external façade.
Can you spray paint after I have moved in?
Some occupied homes are suitable, subject to access, ventilation, protection and occupancy arrangements. Send photos of the surrounding room as well as the frames. Extra protection is assessed separately.
Does repainting stop window leaks?
No. Leaks, damaged seals and drainage problems require their own assessment. Read about window leak repair.
How long does the coating last, and what is the warranty?
Performance depends on preparation, the existing coating, exposure, cleaning and damage. Service life is not the same as warranty. The applicable bonding warranty, exclusions and any limitations for previously painted frames must be confirmed in your written quotation.
When can I clean or use the windows?
Follow the curing and handling instructions supplied for the coating used. Avoid sharp objects, abrasive cleaning, solvents and adhesive tapes on the new finish. Work duration and curing time are confirmed for the actual job.
