Toilet Renovation FAQs
Can I overlay tiles instead of hacking?
Only after suitability is assessed. Loose tiles, unsound substrates, drainage levels and concealed defects can make overlay unsuitable. It is not a universal fix for leakage.
Does retiling automatically include waterproofing?
No. Check the quotation for the exact waterproofing scope, preparation, testing and exclusions. A tile-only quotation should not be assumed to include concealed waterproofing work.
Can I replace only the WC or basin?
Selected fitting replacement can be assessed. Compatibility, pipe positions, access and surrounding finishes affect the work. Send photos of the fitting and its connections where visible.
Can you fix a leak without renovating the whole toilet?
Some isolated defects can be repaired separately. The source and condition must be assessed first; a local repair may not address a wider waterproofing or concealed pipe problem.
Can I keep my bathtub?
