For aluminum window that bigger than normal ( like in picture), curtain window, due to safety reason, the replacement need a PE design, licensed builder to replace and required MCST/ Town Council approval to ensure the work is carried out in proper way. The cost involved is higher than normal alum window which is 1 m above the FFL.

Repainting Aluminum Window

The process of repainting of aluminum window can briefly as follows:

• Preparation work before aluminium window frame.
• Remove or clean all stain, grilles, attachment on the window panel.
• Repair or touch up putty to any holes or scratches on the frame surface.
• Install protection to wall and window glass ( internally only). Externally is not accessible due to safety reason. For change of external colour, you may need approval from MCST or Building owner.
• Apply primer coat to existing aluminum window frame.
• Select the PU or Epoxy Paint and colour that you prefer to use a spray paint machine.
• Allow curing time ( 1 day at least) before remove of protection or use the window.
• Keep clear from the spraying work and don’t touch to prevent damage of paint.
